The Library serves as an integral part of the college's instructional program. The Library provides print and non-print materials to support the course offerings of the college and to support the professional and personal growth of the faculty, staff, administration, and students.

Library is situated in the midst of all departments and hostels and is easily accessible to all/everyone in the campus. The total carpet area of Library is 600 sq. feet. Student reading room & Separate Faculty& staff (AC) reading room
The Library is an information resource center providing books, magazines, periodicals, and newspapers. Computers offer Internet access to online databases of full text periodicals and electronic books. The Library offers study rooms, course reserve materials, and photocopy machines.
Reference assistance is available for group and individualized instruction. Apart from faculty, staff, administration and students, Industrial establishments / corporate houses can also avail the services of Library on taking Institutional / Corporate membership of the Library. Library consultation facilities are also available to faculty and students of outside Institutes / Organization on request. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, science and humanities offers library services through its various Divisions
Other than the Gazatted holidays and Sundays, library remains opens on Monday to Friday: 08.00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday: 08.00 a.m.to 5.00 p.m.
Apart from one internal committee, an external expert aided Advisory committee is formed for the overall development and updating. Below are the introduction of the experts.

Library Use Policy

  • The library is a place for quiet study. There are no conversation areas in the building.
  • No food is allowed in the library.
  • All cell phone ringers should be turned off. Phone calls should be placed outside the building.
  • Current GNIT student IDs are required for checkout of materials and computer use.
  • Magazines and newspapers are not available for checkout.
